How can I make crashes lag less?
I see some YouTubers, for example CrashBoomPunk. He crashes like a T Series into loads of other ones with no lag at all, when I just crash a car my FPS goes from 60 to like 25FPS when the crash happens. I mostly get 60FPS on most maps. I even turn my graphics to lowest and try on Grid Small Pure, same thing. Please help, thanks!!

My specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1

CPU: Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07GHz (NOT overclocked) Bloomfield 45nm Technology

RAM: 12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 534MHz (8-8-8-20)

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. SABERTOOTH X58 (LGA1366)

Graphics: VA2448 SERIES (1920x1080@60Hz) 3072MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (MSI)

I think physics are simulated on CPU. But not to sure. They could have a beefier pc tho.

I don't remember my CPU usage going to 100%
Sounds like the game is being restricted by your CPU. Only thing I can think of is power settings or exiting other resource-hogging processes.

Physics are simulated on the CPU.
And your CPU doesn't need to go to 100% usage.

Your CPU is not exactly great, it scores lower than some low-end AMD CPU.
When a crash happens, the CPU has to take in account a lot more variables in a shorter time (Each node is dependant on each other, and etc.) That may require more power, and if your CPU is falling short on that, on more complex action it can let you down.

Okay, thank you Nadeox. I've not had to much problems with it tho.

When you see a lot of cars colliding, chances are that it was recorded in slow-mo, then speeded up for the YT video.
