Why would it be free? The whole point of it coming to steam is to help the devs with their finances from extra sales.

Then if not make it free at least make it available for people to purchase at early stages again its stupid to have limited time or people testing id like to test with my rig and give feed back but no chance there until release date at this stage anyway RE RELEASE for more testers

You can buy it, its availible on the BeamNG website right now. You will be emailed a steam key.
They havent put it on steam just yet, i am assuming its because they actually want the game to have some gameplay elements and clean up the ui to make it easier to use. Its currently just a sandbox.
Everyone who buys the game from their website gets free updates. So its not like you will have to pay twice.

The developers have already made it plainly obvious that the game will not be free in the other "plox dont mak3 it fr3e!!!11!1!1" threads, please stop making more of them.
