Wireless Xbox Controller Support?
Hello all,

I've been trying everything possible to get the Wireless Xbox Controller to work with BeamNG. Strange thing is, it used to work in 0.3.1 and earlier releases, but not anymore. I already tried opening up the torque3d log and making sure there was an input map for it, it auto loads 02a1045e.inputmap.cs but I'm unable to do anything with the controller.

When will wireless xbox controllers be supported. Thanks. I plan on spending countless hours playing this on Steam, as I have as an alpha tester back in oct 2013.

they should make it so xbox360 controllers work

Probably not particularly helpful, but I've just been playing using my 360 controller... no special setup, installed via steam, fired it up, picked up the controller and played...

The work around for now is XPadder. Rastus are you using a wired controller?

My wireless xbox 360 controller still works just fine. Just plug and play for me. Failing that if you still have your old install copy the controller setups accross into the new version and it should work again.

What I've done (haven't tried it on Steam's BeamNG is boot up the controller before booting up the game.

I use a wireless Xbox 360 controller and I have two sons with the game who also do. The controller still works with the Steam version on all three systems.. Obviously, as the previous poster mentioned, you should turn it on before launching the game.

I'm using a wired Xbox 360 controler that I pluged in before I launched the game and it's not working in-game at all. It was working with the old version I had, after I went through a bunch of steps to get it working, but I uninstalled that and now Im suck.:csdmeh:

I thought I recognized that avatar... "yo what up" are the inputs being detected by Windows?

Assuming windows 7:
control panel -> hardware and sound -> devices and printers -> controller icon -> right click game controller settings -> properties

Smash buttons on the controller and things should light up on the window.

Is the BeamNG loading the input map? (check SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\torque3d.log)

I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to use my Wireless Xbox 360 controller with beamng.drive before I figured it out. This helped me, I hope it helps someone else, too:

Go to Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings and make sure you have both "Xbox configration Support" and "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" checked.
