I choose the cars that are made for drifting and I try to drift it, but I keep spinning out. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

keyboard won't work. need to use part throttle for this game.

Drifting with a keyboard won't be easy.
You don't drift with 0-1 inputs.
You should get a gamepad, or much much better a wheel if you intend to do so.
A cheap alternative is using your mouse as steering.

Then pick a car suitable for drifting and then it's all a thing of practicing :)

it takes alot of practice, and i would definetly recommend a 360 controller if you can't get a steering wheel.
Steer lightly, and use just a little bit of handbrake.

And no matter what, drifing, driving, anything, NEVER GO FULL THROTTLE.
And tap the break a little someitmes when driving too.

i dont get the point of the handbrake what is it subposed to do? like i can easily break my wheels loose just by taping the throttle
to "drift" i use a 4wd in 25-75 split on 1k hp supra

i can drift a FWD or AWD/4WD on a keyboard, and have occasionally drifted RWD on keyboard too, but usually only out of luck

You can use handbrake to start the drift but don't use it in the drift b/c it sheds too much speed. You can also drift in higher horsepower cars using the throttle. Drift is controlled with steering input and throttle input. You can also perform a common manuever to initiate drift where you steer one direction for a bit and then snap steer in the opposite direction which will bring the rear of the car out and then you control the drift from there.

There are tons of videos on the internet about how to drift your car in real life and they will apply here in Beam NG b/c the physics are very good. I highly recommend you DON'T try them in real life and instead do them in this game. In real life you will burn through axles, tires and wheel bearings. Wheel bearings are designed to go forward or backward, not sideways.

if you need to use a keyboard tap left or right while counter steering.

I recommend starting with the Hirochi Sunburst, specifically the Rally varient. Drifting with an AWD car is much easier than a RWD. Just as in real life, though, drifting takes practice. It's about throttle control, weight distribution, braking and (counter) steering. Manual transmission is highly recommended. Get used to the difference the brake and handbrake have as they each have their own use. Starting out on a map with flat roads can help a lot as well.

Edit: Wow this thread is from a year ago, didn't realize.
