why is it still in early access?
its been 4 years since this game came out in early access will they ever fully release this game or just never get it out of this state cause i really dont support games that stay in early access
引用自 Nadeox1:
BeamNG.drive is a unique project, very different from the other average games.
That also means it has it's own unique development challenges that can often take time to be thought out properly.

In short, complex game, small team.
If we need time to deliver things properly, we will take it.

Then it's up to you if you want to take the risk in supporting an Early Access game.
That's the same for any Early Access game, and Steam warns you about it too.

If you are unsure, you can just follow the game's development and decide later.
You can check our official website, forum and social to keep up to date with the game development :)

Back in the day you used to go to Electronics Botique and buy PC games that were COMPLETE. None of this infinite early access stage bullcrap...

I feel like you heard ''early access bad'' and just swore that as the truth without any fact checking. Yes there are bad early access games, no not all of them are bad, and in fact we wouldn't have alot of games we have today without early access.
could i perhaps ask you why you do not support early access games, then also say you would like to support BeamNG?

the early access tag is just so that they could add or change large things without any questions asked. it's more difficult for a developer on steam to upload a major update if the game has gone out of early access. would you buy the game if it did not say early access but was still getting regular updates?

You cannot just expect a game like BeamNG to be fully developed and finished in 2 years or less, Sorry. BeamNG.Drive if I remember correctly has it's own physics engine and setup that make vehicles damageable as realistically as possible, and some things optimization wise are still being fixed to better improve the physics of deformation for the game, The only real reason games like Forza Horizon and Forza motorsport took a year to develop is because they do not have this complex physics engine implemented into the game, If forza horizon or motorsport were to have implemented BeamNG's physics with deformation and real crashes it would most likely take 2 or 3 year's, Hell even more to Re-work the car's current model's to Fit the JBeams as there called made in BeamNG. Along with other performances for the game being fixed and made Optimal for Consoles or PC's to Run. Don't go complaining about such a gifted game such as this unless you know the pains of development. You try making your own physics engine such as in a year or less. And give the game some time, Have Patience for the Development and Final form of the game atleast.

early access, if done by the right dev team is a critical part of game/ sim development. the community has always been more proficient to finding bugs, glitches and exploits the devs couldnt even think of before release. so idk what goes on in your head to think its a bad thing

i will never understand why people are upset over games that are being actively updated

Lest we not forget your generation either "The Destroy the planet" and "Complain about literally everything" generation.

The 'instant gratification' generation, you mean those special people who buy early acces games because they can't wait, no?

Complaining about slow progress has nothing to with that.

1. The creators had to label the game as early access because they promised an open world career mode to be implemented into the game, but still haven't.

Check out this link :
https://beamng.gmbh/research/

2. The developers are working on the game mode rather slow because they are still making a lot of effort to improve their soft-body physics engine.

3. There is no option to label the game as "experimental". "Early Access" is relatively accurate, but not really. The game isn't ready to be labelled as a game yet. Most games were built from an existing engine. As for beamng drive, the engine still has a long way to go. BeamNG is more inclined towards an engine simulation software rather than a fully fledged game.

And to really appreciate the tiny details in the game, one has to have knowledge on the field of discipline that is oriented towards physics and mechanical engineering.

Im not sure why, but this pretty much sums up of what beamng is. It is an engine that many games can be made from. It is an ongoing research kind of thing engine.

Do you know "Titanic: Honor and Glory", it's same, it has been in dev. for 6-7 years now, and there's still no released date! (Only demos)
