I just bought the game and I saw people saying BeamNG is no luck for keyboard players.
My car spin around like crazy when I slightly nudge the key.
People suggested using a controller but I hadn't touch one in my life.
Does anyone have advice?
P.S. If I am on budget does changing steering sensitivity help?
Thanks in advance for any help.

i use a modified input.lua file i made for myself for keyboard controls, if you have discord or want to talk over steam i can go over basic modifications, also make sure you set your WASD controls up and set the key smoothing filters to : Key (Smooth)

an X-box controller is only $20
I never had this issue, but a controller would 100% help with vehicle control.

While a controller is good, and a wheel is ideal, you can definitely play on keyboard with enough practice. I have a friend who only play on keyboard and is usually a good driver, he can even do some light drifting. If you really don't like controllers, then you can definitely practice with keyboard and get better.

From my (albeit small) experience with keyboard, front wheel drive seems the easiest to control, although all wheel drive does get better performance, and four wheel drive is good for offroading.

I also just bought the game and just wanted to say that if you do get the opportunity to buy a controller, you should consider it.

I had never tried one myself either (never tried a console), but recently bought one to use in truck simulators. The difference was immense. Full control.

I've tried the controller in other games like first person shooters etc., but I think I'm too old to learn how to play those kind of games with it hehe... I have no control compared to kb / m. But for driving, I was pleasantly surprised of how good it was.

If this post is still relevant, try to use the mouse for steering if you're not gonna get a controller. I'd say it's better than WASD or arrow keys.
