How to stop the engine from turning off automatically?

Everytime I stop or reduce my speed, the engine stops.

that means that the engine stalled and you have to turn it back i don't think there's anyway to stop this.

I feel like this happens way too easy in the game compare to the reality, I don't know if I have something badly configured.

if its a manual transmission then pull the clutch when you stop then itll stop stalling and another thing do you have a wheel or keyboard?

There is an option in the game to turn on an assistant for the clutch so it wont stall

As said above, you are more likely stalling the engine (ie. stopping without pressing the clutch, forcing the engine to come to a full stop).

The clutch has to be manually operated, if you are in Realistic gearbox mode and have the clutch assistant disabled. See in Options > Gameplay.

Also, if you are in a forward gear, and lose control, and the vehicle ends up traveling backwards, you will 100% stall it. This is just like real-life.

I'm having this issue, but with a vehicle that has 5,000+ hp. Just trying to inch forward stalls the engine (clutch assist is on, arcade gearbox is on). Usually, I'm pretty happy with the arcade gearbox mode, but it has been incredibly screwy with this car. It might just be because I've tried to gear the car to do upwards of 300 mph, but the arcade gearbox - in attempting to switch from 3rd to 4th - stalls the engine (and its at a high enough rpm to have good power). It also jumps in between 5th and 6th like crazy. I have to hold the throttle at half in order to ride out 6th all the way.
