BeamNG Crashes with Multiple Cars Spawned
So while playing the game, my son says the game crashes when he spawned 6 cars into the dragstrip. Is there a way to see what caused the crash?

Overloading the game/CPU.

I tried this on Nvidia's servers as wanted to see how far they would go. Got to 4 cars then started stuttering bad.

Depending on your CPU its likely just asking too much? Yet have seen videos with 10.

The games quite heavy on the CPU.

There's a high chance your PC just can't handle that many cars.

Ahh ok, its the Ryzen 5 2600 so could be the reason. Just more reason to upgrade I suppose.

Im on a Ryzen 5 1600 and can handle 10+ cars no problem. I would check for any driver updates, I have had bad experience with drivers that cut my performance in half, specifically in BeamNG.
You can also run an in game benchmark under the performance tab in the help menu. This will provide you with an estimate of the total cars your machine can handle.

I've actually been experiencing crashes with spawned cars in general after the new update. They spawn fine but the game freezes shortly after. And I've been getting crashes starting drag racing too. At first I though it was limited to the cars I made in automation, but it seems that doesn't matter. I believe I'm up to date with drivers, but I'm going to check them all again just to make sure.

I have a mid range PC and 6+ cars gives me 20- fps anywhere with lowest settings, you may have seen 10 cars racing in my videos but that is performed with like 13fps, then the replay is recorded as on replays the fps doubles! but some debris can glitch with too much going on at once.
It takes a really good PC to have 6+ cars with high fps whilst physics are live.

The newest optional AMD drivers seemed to cure my problem. No crashes so far.

It's pretty much a one car = one core/thread scenario. If you have 4 cores or 4 threads total, then 4 cars is about all you're going to handle before you have significant performance drops.

You have 6 cores/12 threads with that Ryzen 5 2600. You should be totally fine with 6 cars. Check that your temps aren't getting too high. It may have just been a random crash that doesn't occur every time you have 6 cars spawned in.

A cpu's architecture is more important than number of cores. I used to have an fx series processor with 8 cores. I could spawn 3 cars and still manage to play the game. Now, I have a ryzen 3600x with 6 cores, and spawning 10 cars is no problem. I haven't really tested how many cars is the max for my setup.

I think he might have a driver issue though. That's what seemed to fix my problem.
