Need help installing mods through repository.
I just bought this game this morning, and I want to get some mods, through the repository just because it seems easy, but it's not showing up. I'm just wondering if I have to update my game to a different version? Or if there's anything else i'm missing.

If you installed from Steam you should have the latest version.

Try pointing your browser to BeamNG.com and clicking the mods link. You may be prompted to log in. I am sure you may have gotten an email from them if you signed up already (you likely need to sign up to log in if you haven't already done so), click on the MODS tab near the top, and browse and download to your heart's content.
Mods can be manually placed in the documents\beamng.drive\mods folder regardless if it's vehicle mod or map mod or mission / script mod(s).

Enjoy. There's a 'help installing mods' page on their site too, it should be easy to find.

The repo might be down at the moment, so Install mods manually [wiki.beamng.com]instead. Manually Install Repo Mods [www.beamng.com]
And if you want real branded vehicle mods they are found here [www.beamng.com] (Branded mods are not on repo and have to be manually installed)

So, I'm guessing I might have to sign in to get access to Repo, where I don't have to manually do it.

No you don't need an account for the repostory, you just hit the green subscribe button on the mod you want it automatically installs them. Now if the repostory is down meaning the developers are working on it at the moment, you will have to manually install mods.

Now sadly if you want to get real life car mods, you must install them manually from the forums section of the main site. For example lets say you wanted this Mazda RX-7[www.beamng.com] , you would have to scroll down until you see the blue zip file icon labeled Mazda_R-X7.zip and click on it, once you have the zip file downloaded, you must open file explorer and go to downloads, you should see the zip file located there, copy the zip file and go to Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods and paste it in there, then go back to your downloads and remove the zip file located in the downloads, and then the mod should show up.

Oh I figured it out. I downloaded a mod manually, now the repo shows up saying I have mods, and I can browse it. But thanks.
Yeah sorry for necro but it's really dumb that the repository doesn't show up. No idea why they don't use workshop like every other game on the platform with mods.

I'm aware, the setting is missing from where the wiki says it is though.

Edit: someone told me they moved it, got it working now.
