Gear Ratio Changes?

One of the things I like to do is to make speed cars and run them flat-out just to see how fast I can get them to go and to see how much power I can squeeze out of them. That said, I generally run out of gears before I run out of power. Are there mods that will allow me to put taller gears or a different final drive ratio into cars?

If you put a race transmission in you can change the gear ratio on most of the cars.

non-performance cars such as the Grand Marshal don't have the option for a race transmission, though
