Car pulling to the right
I'm using an xbox one controller and when driving a car it seems to be pulling to the right, any fix?

It is either two things:
1. Your analog stick is slightly sticking to one side when you use it, Go to controls, hardware tab then find the button for the analog stick, it should have a bar underneath it and when you use it the bar should either go left or right, when you take your thumb off if the bar hasn't fully disappeared then it's getting stuck. If that is the case get a new controller. (or fix it if your savvy enough)

2. Torque Steer is when the power of the car affects the handling making it much harder to control, when full power it can either steer left or right even though you are not steering it. Rear wheel drive cars will kick the back end out (oversteer) whereas front wheel drive cars will struggle to turn (understeer)

P.S some mods do have a tendency to make the cars veer to one side.

I notice this if I ever use the offroad suspension in the pickup.

The fix would be to go into options, controller input, go to steering input and edit, there you should see the error input on screen as the calibration bar will be off centre or moving, just adjust the deadzone to exceed the level of false input, this is how I fixed my faulty controller randomly reversing.
Thanks

probably the torque reaction from the engine it always causes the car to pull to the right a bit especially on cars with soft offroad suspension

RWD and AWD cars have a driveshafts that spins. Once it spins, it generates about the same or 50% of its force in the opposite direction. If you drive a drag car, you will notice it wants to tilt into a direction, same with the T75 truck. This is because its tilting in the opposite way the driveshaft is going. Keep that in mind.

Also, with FWD cars of high torque like the covet turbo or the old pessima in FWD layout, the car will torque steer due to having the wheel try to rotate so hard they will force the steering racks into a direction. The best way to confirm if you have a faulty dead zone or a game bug is to use a rear or medium engine layout car or a very low powered car, or the electric one.

Adjust the deadzone so the start of the joystick stroke is about 1-2% in from rest

Hey I know this post is 3 years old...but for anyone else who was looking for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weeks on end trying to figure out a fix I finally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ figured it out...I've tested between 3 different controllers (all xbox) Only one of which has a few dead spots in it (drag in stick)

same results car steers slightly right! To FIX THIS! Uncheck! ===> "SLOWER STEERING AT HIGH SPEEDS"

This fixed it completely for me i no longer steer to the right and drive perfectly straight! veer to left and it holds veer to right and it holds amazing! no constant steering to the right slightly anymore fighting to stay straight on the road!

ALSO! If this DOESN'T work i'd suggest trying to add some deadzone under beamNG i personally run a 0.17 though i dont have any deadzone (makes it easier for small steering adjustments)

ALSO ALSO if that doesn't work I'd suggest turning off understeer-Oversteer Assist one at a time and try and see how that does or both together...for some odd reason when i turned over steer assist off it actually had me steering to the left a few times...But then trying to repeat the process it steered right again And same thing with both of them off for me However i'd figure i'd throw it out there! Hopefully this helps someone else out as well

CHEERS!
