Use joystick as gear ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Hi, is it possible to use a joystick as a gear shifter (the joystick in question is a logitech extreme 3d pro).
My goal is to have the left side of the Y axis shift down and the right side shift up.
Also, I have a ps4 remove that I am using to drive, could that cause problems?

Also tried this and looking for a solution, i tried it but it seemed to be getting mixed up since the joystick was binding to AXIS1, and my steering wheel was also AXIS1, so I dont know if its possible

i have a simple solution for this, use XPadder to remap your joystick with a key on your keyboard instead.

Seems like alot more effort than its worth, just use dpad up/down or a and x(x and □ for PS)
i use a joystick on the ground next to my pedals as a clutch sometimes, so it should be possible

my wheel and joystick are from two different companies though so if you have the same company there could be some confliction between the drivers working at the same time

I have an actual shifter attached to my steering wheel, however it only has 6+1 gears. This means I cannot drive a truck with 13+ gears to speed. I tried using a joystick attached to a button box I just got as a sort of slap-stick solution, however while the game sees these configured inputs (shows input go from 0-100%) for the Shift Up and Down binds, they do not work and will not change gears. Is there a filter mode I need to set it to?
