Lag, serious ****** lag...

Ok guys, this is my last resort... I've been having serious lag in beamng for the first time ever. Thought maybe PC was getting cluttered. Nope. Maybe overheating? Nope. Outdated software? Not a chance. Underrated equipment? My tower is a couple years old but was custom built for gaming so I think not ( hopefully for a couple more years at least ). I can run assetto corsa all day long with graphics basically maxed with no problem. Disabled all mods with no change. Authenticated the main files, still no error. Set graphics to what I call 0 and still nothing. When I say lag, I mean as close to frozen as I've ever seen on an game on any platform.

This is serious matters to me. Beam is my favorite game and if I can't play it, there is no point in turning on the PC period. Someone please help me... I miss my game:( i miss the pure creation... please help...

Ok, you might have a bunch of different related issues there.

The fact that your setting is not saving may indicate something may be blocking the game from writing the new settings files. Please check your antivirus and anything similar, as well this list: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software

You said that the input lag affects everything, not only the game.
This could indicate that the issue is not related to the game itself, but something system-wide, like for example the joystick you are using itself, its drivers, or some third-party programs that conflicting with those.
You may experience that with the game because of the FFB being enabled in it only.

Yea, nadox, on #2 I totally blame my joystick. Its like 20 years old. I imagined it uses some funky old style polling or something. Np.
#1 no isues there.
Dont waste any time tryin to figure this one out...i am sure its a niche problem and likely im the only sidewinder joystick user still alive =)

Im having the same problem, my gpu is gtx 970, i used to play on max setting a week ago and everything was going great! 40-50fps! Now I can't even get over 6fps ! Out of no where the performance dropped.....

I checked everything i even used the lowest Settings but no change ! I get 6fps on max settings and 8fps on lowest!!!!

This is so frustrating, the temps are always between 40-70 ⁰C and the usage is below 20%

I can't find a solution :/
