i have the game
The game does simulate the different materials a vehicle is made out of (nodes have different properties)
On the doors, those are usually part of rollcages, which are used on rally/race cars (rollcages are available for some vehicles)
Try to crash a modern vehicle and you will see that the front part crumples easier than the actual passenger cell.
This depends much on the vehicle itself, as older vehicles were not made with 'crumple zones' in mind (ie. the Burnside just crumples like a tuna-can ;) )
Oh okay, that makes sence. thanks!
