6 speed gearstick with 12 speed truck
Am i blind or cant i just find an option to change "range" or gearbox in the game when i drive the 12 or 18 speed truck?
I dont want to live with the first 6 gears and have to use the paddels on my g29, rather have the "full experince". or do i need to download a mod in order to do that?

I have tried to use the range change thing, but i think that it only works in pickups with low and high range

At the moment we do not have that function (range)

yeahh i was thinking about the same thing, there should be a button we could push and it will change 1-2-3-4-5-6 into 7-8-9-10-11-12 for the 12 speed truck, it would be awesome !

in my opignion this is a must have for the steering wheel user!!

bind your gears to 2 4 6 8 10 12, the truck can drive fine like that
Oh boy, double clutching here we come. Though simulating a roadranger trans with a 2 or 3 speed rear would be alright I guess.

Please at least make it a button on the screen like the Hi/Lo range.

So I'll have to rebind each time I'm switching between regular cars & the big rig? Do you have any suggestion that's even more time consuming???

It works in Euro Truck Simulator 2 but in this game you need every single gear when you are pulling a heavy load.

As said already, this is not supported. We don't have the resources to cover minute details of every single type of vehicle in the world (even if it may seem like it at times! \o/ ). This feature may or may not be added in future versions, and if it does, it may or may not be realistic enough for everyones taste. Do not expect clutch brakes, realistic Eaton Fuller shifting patterns, jake brake, etc etc. We'll see what we can do, but do not expect anything so you don't get disappointed if we don't find the time to add anything :-)

I can't believe it's that much more time consuming than the Hi/Lo range button, I mean it basically is that. It's not like we're asking you to accurately simulate each and every particle in the observable universe down to planck units...

Right now it's really awkward to drive the truck using pedal shifters.

You're saying we need to either simulate quantum physics, or to barely do more than copypaste Hi/Lo. I'm saying it's not like that. You can believe what you want :-)

i believe that the H/L range is a most need for the t-serie for real.. what i wanna say is if you cannot make this simple change, then just go head and make a 6 speed for the t-serie if doing a H/L range is to hard to implant for one single vehicle, it would make sence to have that H/L range for the t-serie with that 12 speed transmition..you know..

Yeah i could work, but i think it would be a hassle, because everytime you want to drive a car. Then you have to rebind the controls. :/

If im not mistaken, the T-series already have a 6 speed transmission. But it doesn't work so well if you try to pull 22800 kg of coca cola, and crash it into the wall.

Otherwise a mod would be great, but unfortunately i do not have a clue on how to make those in beamng

Not really, I was saying - and yes, it was obviously an exaggeration - you don't need to simulate the already simulated universe we live in (It's just a theory, I know. Still makes a hell of a lot sense, though!) to get it to work.

And it's not like it'd be only for the T-series. I bet most guys with an H-shifter only have a 6-speed (+ reverse gear), because 7 and 8-speeds are relatively uncommon. Thus one'd be able to use this feature on any car with 6+ gears.

with the logitech software theres probably a way to switch profiles to change 1-6 to other keys and make those keys higher gears in the games menu. Dont mean to post on a old discussion but i was wondering if there was a mod to have a high range button and googled only to find this.
