Any tips on avoiding wheelspin?

I'm building a car with lots of power and i can't seem to fix the wheelspin, it's impossibe to drive.
Is there any way i can fix without sacraficing all my acceleration?

Note: I'm building a 1987 car so traction controll isn't an option.

You're gonna get tire slip no matter what. You could have a pair of 3 F1 tires on each wheel you're still gonna slip

control your gas throttle and you will be fine, but if your playing on a keyboard well, there nothing much you can do.

if your on a key board just tap the throttle to avoid to much wheel slip

Increase your gearing to avoid wheelspin including larger tyres (width) and downforce. If you have enough HP it will still retain good acceleration once the RPMs pick up. Especially if you have a turbo that kicks in at mid-high RPM range. Hope this helps. :)

If you're comfortable using mods, use the Extra/Varible Grip tires from the BeamNG website, I use it and have no problems with lack of grip now.
