Would previous mods affect it too? I've easily gone through 100 this year.
Not sure, but I had 150 or so mods installed at once and it took maybe 2 minutes at most for it to clear cache for me... but I also have two SSDs.
The more, the longer.
It's goes through every file, as we don't just blindly delete everything, but check what can be moved into the backup folder, and what can stay.
What a weird thing to gatekeep. 0_o
The 'Clear Cache' button does more than just taking care of the 'cache.xxxx' folders.
It checks all the files in your User Folder, so that it knows which files does not belong where they are, and what other files can be moved without problems.
For example a mod forced the creation of a wrong 'material' file, that can cause issues to other vehicles. This function will take care of that.
You can still delete the 'cache.xxxx' folders manually, but that's only part of that this function actually does.
