Clearing the Cache takes a LONG time

It says it's gone through 670+ folders and over 30,000 files. This seems excessive. Is this even normal?

Edit: Just finished. It took about 10 minutes.

The game recommended that I do it. It might be a good idea to warn that the process can take a while.

for me it took like 1 minute. but i guess it depends on your cpu and hard drive speed.

Not sure, but I had 150 or so mods installed at once and it took maybe 2 minutes at most for it to clear cache for me... but I also have two SSDs.

Depends how many files you have in your userfolder.
The more, the longer.

It's goes through every file, as we don't just blindly delete everything, but check what can be moved into the backup folder, and what can stay.

The clear cache automatically verifies integrity, Making "verify integrity" button obsolete. Better to delete cache from "C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache.0.16.0.3" directly

The 'Clear Cache' button does more than just taking care of the 'cache.xxxx' folders.
It checks all the files in your User Folder, so that it knows which files does not belong where they are, and what other files can be moved without problems.

For example a mod forced the creation of a wrong 'material' file, that can cause issues to other vehicles. This function will take care of that.

You can still delete the 'cache.xxxx' folders manually, but that's only part of that this function actually does.

I'm currently on 100k. This is what I get for having 500 mods.

i have 489 mods so it took 5 minutes. it said it would fully download it 2067 lol, it only took 5 minutes tho.
