Not entirely sure what, if any, data this game is storing in the cloud (Maybe subscribed mod list? No idea) but if you force it to launch the game it should play perfectly fine.
Issue should resolve itself after a while or maybe after the next steam update.
If it's persistent then Nadeox will probably show up and help you
It should preferably be local (Documents folder). I believe the errors occurs when there is a save in both? Not entirely sure
Nadeox may be able to help further if you still need assistance, as I have never had this issue myself so I'm not 100% sure how to fix it. Although I'm pretty sure the support tools in the launcher/posts in the forums have sufficient information
SInce the error is showing in game and not in steam, it might be worth making sure that your BeamNG folder is stored in documents.
If you have OneDrive enabled, make sure it does not back up the BeamNG folder.
This is correct.
It's not an error, but it's more of a warning.
The game stores your mods and personal settings in Documents/BeamNG.drive by default (Userfolder).
If you use Windows 10 and you have OneDrive enabled, your Documents folder is constantly sync with the OneDrive cloud.
This can be problematic, as files can get locked and become unnaccessible when the sync happens, and it's not a good idea to have that for game files.
That message should be explaining you how to change your Userfolder location, to a different one. In general, from Launcher > Manage User Folder.
From there, simply choose a different location that is not Documents / OneDrive folder.
