How does the new traffic police work?
So I've noticed you can get busted and get a ticket. So basically I rammed a police and got a ticket, but I sped up just a little and I got busted?
Could someone explain how the ai police work now?

I heard somewhere there is a system that counts the number of infractions you do, the more the infractions, the more the police will try to get you, and the more "severe" the punishment when you are caught.
This. to be more exact:
4 things currently cause a police response:
1) Going over the speed limit
2) Impacting a cop
3) Impacting a non-cop vehicle
4) Going the wrong way down the road
Each one of these counts as 1 infraction, each infraction changes the way cops react. During all chases they are limited to 100mph (it might be kph?). If you get 3 infractions or go double the speed limit, cops will start to ignore lane rules. Your speed over the limit can count as 1-3 infractions depending on how far over you go. 1.2x the speed limit is 1, 1.4x is 2, and 1.6x is 3.
Recently though, the game was updated with a bit of a change. If you do 1 infraction and keep up the chase, it will eventually escalate to 2 and then 3 (even if you dont do any new infractions).
1 infraction = ticket. 2 or more = busted.
