Black Texture Issue
I recently installed some mods and instantly noticed this issue, I have tried clearing the cache, starting the game in safe mode, uninstalling the mods, and even redownloading the game.
It is only ground textures and I manually installed the mods, some help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably a broken mod, and if it messed up with textures, you need more than just disabling the mod. You will have to have to clear the cache (after disabling the broken mod)

I have the same problem with all the maps that are included in the game, NO MODS loaded. I am however running the game through Proton on Linux. Before the update everything worked fine. Now the Utah map most of the ground is black.

How does it perform there? Any improvement in regards to AI vehicles compared to the issue the game has on conventional Linux distros?

I haven't played too much of it yet, done the Driver's Ed and Senseless Destruction Campaigns and they worked really nicely, however when I tried to enable traffic through the Radial Menu, three AI cars would spawn, the game would hang pretty badly, and then crash. I've not yet investigated what I can do to mitigate that

the game is very cpu intensive and each car is basically one cpu core each. so cpus with many cores and good multi-core performance are the best for the game.

Issues start way before all cores are used, and often, even the cores the game does use don't seem to get maxed out.

on linux the ai seems to be the issue rather than the additional cars, at least that's what I experienced so far

Hey Quad_Plex, could you give me a hand with fixing Beam.NG on Steam Deck? I tried to do everything which is said in SnoutBug's GitHub, but the textures are still black on my Deck :/ Thanks very much for some help in advance!

This cause by diiffence of case-sensitive (Linux), case-insensitive (Windows_

Some textures name DDS but beamng handle only dds.
Windows doesnot matter but Linux means different file.

Please support DDS, dds both..
