Stalling a car?
Is it possible?
I finally completed a circut of the Rally Peru map without crashing and in manual mode.
I know there were several points where I should have stalled, however my engine was on the entire time despite my poor clutchwork.

Either I have done a killer tune on this car or it's just not a thing for a gamepad to stall a car.
Thoughts/answer?

It is possible if you switch the gears around while moving to fast, like going 20MPH and switching to (5, 2, 6, 4, 1)
And not useing clutch will also stall a manual vehicle.
You can disable clutching in the options though.

Using* and that is not how you stall that is how you cause a engine lockup. If you use clutch in first gear while going 0 MPH or KM/H then let go of it without starting off that is how you stall.

Ah, but if I release the clutch, it does nothing. Doesn't move like an auto or stall like it's supposed to. About the only thing I can get it to do is overrev the engine. [
(Granted there's no limiter).

Is this a quirk of a controller? Or do I have settings odd.
And if I shift without the clutch, it does it for me albeit slowly.

Hold clutch, Shift into first gear, and then accelerate.
And is clutch activated in the settings?
Should be clutch assist.

I ment shifting into first gear and accerlerating will make you stall.
Even if your going 20MPH and decide to shift gears higher, if the RPMS are to low you'll stall.

I know how to stall, done it plenty in an actual car. I like my automatic minivan, nice and easy to drive.
But for a rally car in a simulator...

So, look for an option labeled as "Clutch Assist" and see if that's on?

Actually, that makes some sense...

it appears that I had clutch assist on. I have turned that off, sop hopefully this'll get better
