All .Jbeam files can be opened with a text editor (notepad or alike)

.DAE files are 3D files. You need a 3D modelling program to import them (Like Blender).
And of course you need to know how to work with a 3D modelling program.

Of course, Windows does not know how to open .DAE files by default.
You need to get a 3D Modelling Program that can open them.
Blender is a popular choice for many, including ourselves.
To open a .DAE file with Blender, you have to go File > Import > COLLADA (.dae) and choose the file.

Of course, you need to know how to use Blender (or 3D Modelling software in general).

I mean to edit Engine specs like add 11k rpms with 65k hp do i really need blender for that?

No. I was replying to the 'How to edit body' parts question.

For engine specs, just find and edit the engine .jbeam file with a text editor.

It's highly suggested to not modify original files.
I advice making a separate engine part, so that you don't overwrite any of the original ones.
