depends of one type of car you're dropping. What purpose was the car built for. A Race SBR4 with all race setup wont beable to cope aswell as a offroad Pick up.
Back to the topic. Try analysing the critical impact in slow motion, look at the speedometer, look at the wheel and the way it responds to the impact. imagine doing that irl with a similar offroad car. See if you still think beam car is weak.
