Went through verifying, reinstalling and then reinstalling, along with restarting my computer. Nothing. Sometimes Steam goes back to show the "Play" Button after I clicked it and waited for something to happen...but nothing.

thanks for reaching out.
I am sorry that you are both affected by the same issue.
Do you get any error messages upon launch? If so, could you share a screenshot of the error message?
Have you had a similar problem in the past, or were you able to play the game before?
Is the game installed on the same drive as Ubisoft Connect and Steam?
Do you have any additional monitors connected to your PC? If so, can you unplug them and just leave 1 monitor connected and test the game? Additionally please make sure that your monitor's dpi settings are set to default/native value - > It can sometimes cause issues with the game if the value is set to a higher or lower. ->Click here[ubi.li]
I'd also recommend taking a look at one of our troubleshooting guides and following any steps you may not have tried yet -> Click here[ubi.li]
uninstalled and re-downloaded the game,
restarted my computer,
verified installed files,
updated ubisoft connect,
tried starting with one monitor,
started steam, ubisoft connect and the game as admin
followed the trouble shooting guide above
I don't see an activation key for anything but haven't been asked for it either. Ubisoft connect does not display the game in my library. My steam and ubisoft accounts are linked correctly.

Some players reported that Discord running in the background can prevent some games from launching, so if you use it, try closing it first.
Also, disable ALL 3rd party, unnecessary applications running in the background, especially 3rd party overlays like GeForce Experience (Nvidia App), Overwolf and Discord but also if you are running a VPN client (even if not connected), close it and kill its process.

Reinstall Visual C++ 2022 redistributable x86 and x64.
Disable AutoHDR feature in Windows 11.
@bandit297, this part of your message "Ubisoft connect does not display the game in my library." is an issue. If your Steam and Ubisoft accounts are linked correctly and the game got activated on your Ubisoft account, Ubisoft Connect should always show it in the library.
If your Ubisoft Connect is installed in the default location on the C drive, go to this folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership to check if there is more than one ID. If yes, it means you access two different Ubisoft accounts on your PC and the game may be on the other one.
Hello skibidi bombogyatt,
I'm sorry to hear that your game has stopped launching. I recommend performing the technical troubleshooting[ubi.li]first. If the issue persists, please provide us with more information about the issue.
Hey DarkFoxton,
Could you please clarify the issue? If it's related to your Ubisoft account, I recommend contacting us via a ticket.[ubi.li]
