Wow... just when you think Ubisoft couldn't sink any lower. It’s honestly time for this company to meet its well-deserved end. If someone still unironically buys a Ubisoft game today, there’s no helping them.
Good point. And you'd have to had paid for it. Ubisoft creates more pirates than Somalia.

Today, there is another title update that introduces the 2nd DLC. Let us hope no more such bugs are floating around, because it is indeed a terrible end user experience. I will just lean back and observe the bug reports before I consider paying for any DLC content, since there is a fair chance of more things getting messed up, like last time.
Thank you for all the messages and feedback.
I would like to clear up the situation a bit.
The issue with the Sky Breaker DLC blocking progress for some players who did not own the DLC was an unintentional bug. This issue has been resolved and it should not occur anymore, whether a player owns the DLC1 or not.
If any of you has the game without the DLC1 Sky Breaker that has been updated, and still is locked out of their progress due to not having the DLC error message, please let us know and we will immediately raise it with the game team.
This is, of course, just my opinion, but to me, this looks intentional—an attempt to squeeze more money out of consumers.
Thank you for taking the time to respond here, but personally, I find this explanation unconvincing.
Correct. Likely testing the waters to see what they can get away with. After all, we shouldn't even OWN their games, according to them.
I bought the DLC today to test. After buying the DLC, the game was able to play.
Tested by a first-time player. This is very, very sad. This experience will discourage your customers from buying your game for the first time.
