So that tells me is that ubifail is in panic mode after investing a lot of money and are in recovery mode trying to entice people before this turns into a dumpster fire.

Reading some of the reviews i would say that lots of people are having issues even playing this or getting it started. I do not ever buy early access. Now you know why.

Yes it is standard practice. Any Ubisoft game that has come to steam recently after being exclusive has had this discount when it launches.... same as other games I've seen, the two most recent being Dead Island 2 and Kingdom Hearts.

I know that Ubisoft scammed it's customers with the Crew, I know that this is just a rehash of Far Cry Primal. I know that this game has mixed ratings both inside and outside steam.

I also know it's been reported that this game has been falling short of performance financially for Ubisoft and their pattern is to release the game that was originally exclusive to Steam on a hefty discount to entice people like you. Seems it worked lol.

It happened when Red Dead Redemption 2 was finally released on Steam. EGS had it for the 1st year...Steam got it 1 year later...released the game at full price, then put on sale the following week.

That was a dirty move considering everyone that wanted it on Steam purchased it within the first week, and then already had too many hours to refund and even though Steam has the option for "it's available cheaper now" they won't do anything about it if you already had 2hrs in.

Plus fails to check steamdb and price history for all the games, like you can't hide these facts.

I got Fallout 76 for free on steam, because I had it on EGS lel, as the most extreme sample of a game being time exclusive for other platforms.
