why not just move the camera back out of your head?

It's not that simple check out ''Cyberpunk 2077 this is why there is not 3rd person view'' on Youtube. Cause that's something along what you'll get. The animations are likely not made with third person in mind.

You said mod, what does that have to do with the game's price? You expect a modder to remake all the animations together with a third person mod? It's unrealistic, Ubisoft games are notoriously hard to mod.

Devs clearly stated before game was even released. This is going be only First person view. Game, exception are while mounted on Ikran or Direhorse

Not likely. There was glitch before the first DLC was released, which was making possible to play in third person, it was glichy and unstable. Ubisoft have updatd/removed it from the game.

First of all as others mentioned the animation are there when the coop see you, and I will also remind you the glitch with the emotes that allowed you (now patched) to go 3rd person and play the game. Oh wait, you didnt know that either. So Ubi the brainless company coild just have that as an option, BUT NO! No 3rd person! NO NO NO! GOD NO!
