I want to like this game but... its a cooking walking simulator

90% of the world feels empty

They had so many opportunities to learn from great games like

Horizon Zero Dawn
Grounded
Phantom Pain
Elden Ring

Yet their main focus was on pretty environments

I will give credit the world looks pretty - but 99.9% of the time all I encounter are cooking ingredients

The lack of enemy diversity and enemy density is amazing

Horizon Zero Dawn the weak points felt meaningful
The tools to hit the weak points felt meaningful
Hitting the weak points not only disabled enemy abilities it also allowed access to special loot

The enemies were varied and enemy density felt right

None of that really was taken into consideration in in Avatar.

All the animals here just "charge at you" and call it a day.

Could have added things like massive spiders jumping from tree top

This is Ubisoft, they do the same thing over and over and over and over again and are always surprised when they get negative reviews and they just blame others for their poor design choices.

But Avatar is a decent game, it is a pity they never designed a good stealth system for the game.

i can understand player don't like the game , its all right but blaming the game about gameplay , feature .. to be honest the dev. have done a great job to build the world/map and all gameplay on it .

even i'n joy Horizon zeo daw, , about variety of ennemy , no , Avatar as more but on Horizon the combat , the fun its all about encounter boss .

Avatar apart main quest don't have so many boss fight

Avatar of pandora is far away better than Far cry 6 , and do better than Far cry 5 ( this game was good because of the setting , and the story , the villain and the freedom to each fight )

you don't like cooking , just do quest for na'vi camp , help na'vi you'll get rewards based on your contribution , player who want to skip jobs task aka cooking , gathering , they can
the game let you play as you want , you wan't stuck to play on one way :)

i know its good to bash ubisoft ,this is the trend , but no , even i'm the first to critics ubisoft wheh the game its good its good that's all ..
like Elden ring i not like it but its a great game

reminds the case of Assaasin creed Odessey or Mirage , both 2 great games but press and some few player bashing those 2 games for nothing lol ..

I personally didn't like Mirage, it felt so wrong, but i liked Odyssey.

Everyone has their own tastes, just because it doesn't match your tastes, doesn't mean its nothing.

I personally find Avatar's hunting a very poorly implemented feature, the stealth and the only means to hunt for materials from animals is getting the utmost perfect and clean kill, when it is very, VERY difficult and can sometimes be outright impossible.

The game looks good, is big and beautiful, but the stealth system overall in the game is trash.

Fully agree. God of War was also a walking simulator. Still a good game.

Half the time I forget the move combos when I do get in a fight!
