DLC Secrets of the Spires. Got stuck in quest The Hunter. (made wrong sadle)

Yes I know I should have payed better attention to the text.
My thoughts where "a Legendary sadle should be the best one instead of choosing the Defensive sadle.
So I spoiled my leather from the Elder Chiroptera and now I am stuck.
Obviously the quest wants the correct sadle so keeps demanding it.
Only problem is I get no pointers anymore where to find a new piece of leather or the location of another Elder Chiroptera.

Suggestions anyone?
Going back in the story is no option sins it does not show auto save points and such.

Found an Elder.
There are a few caves marked as Elder nests.
Been looking and did not find them at first untill I discovered there hanging from the ceiling with 2 young besides them.
Succesfull hunt.

I'm glad you were able to find it. I had already explored the map several times and killed the Elder twice over. Then the game hit me with that quest, and even though I could craft the armor, it still made me go after the hunt again. It was kinda silly, but I get it. There was some scripted funerary rites we were giving the creature. Ces la vie.

What bugged me the most is the fact that you need to create any item is area mandatory where the quest originated from.

So you cannot create f.i. that flying armor when you happen to be in the Heart of The Plains wich I did because you can obtain the Bladwing Moth Wing there.
Those are very important if you strugle to get the proper level of item.
The Bladwing Moth Wing has the abillity to upgrade any item you can use to craft 1 level per wing.
I used 2 to get the proper lvl on a item and then created the armor in the same area witch resulted in me failing the quest because I was not in the Spires of The Clouded Forrest area.

That crafting should be independent of the area.
Specialy if it concerns a Apex item.
