I don’t know why you just didn’t share the PlayStation Blog post instead of another trash Youtube channel. I guess all your news gets filtered through content creators, it’s why you are the way you are.
https://blog.playstation.com/2024/09/03/an-important-update-on-concord/
cry about it LOL the youtbuer is literally showing the original posts in the video already angry that people speaking the truth instead of jumping on the woke train ? xD
I don’t care what happens to Concord, it deserved to fail. It would have been bad even it won anti-woke chud game of the year. I wouldn’t waste my time with live-service games of any kind, no matter who says it’s good or bad.
im trying to end this topic but you guys keep fueling me with material i cant help myself UwU classic behaviour of denial and trying to chance the subject when you realize you have nothing left to argue with and cant prove a single thing you say you dont care about concord but it is the part of the main argument here you cant just jump into a brain-storm like that and make a irrelevant comment LOL
I never brought up concord, you brought it up as if I’m supposed to care because you think in such binary terms. Since I’m criticizing you for anti-woke posts about Avatar, you assume I must be some kind of fan or supporter of concord. I don’t care what people play or buy, don’t care what games succeed or fail ultimately. I try to support indie games that I believe are good but that’s about it. I just am sick of every clown on Steam giving us their manifestos about “the problem with these woke games”. You all repeat the same stuff, you are just parroting the same talking points over and over and over and over. The truth is that Concord failed for a multitude of reasons, no one knows for sure exactly why. Sony and Firewalk don’t even know for sure why it failed. I can’t say for sure that it’s not for the reasons you believe because I’m not all-knowing, neither are you. I just look at the situation and see a very uninspired, derivative game that isn’t very appealing. But when I look at a game, I’m not obsessed with pronouns, gender, race of the characters like anti-woke people are. The characters look bad but it’s not as simple bad because “woke”. This is all a bunch of pointlessness at the end of the day. If you are really correct, then the market will unequivocally prove that at some point. Today, however, it’s unclear if you are right or wrong. Arguing about it is just a waste of time in the end. You’re just gonna go right back to watching YouTube outrage porn and I’m still going to think you’re wrong about all of this.
Concords shutting down and you think you won this thread somehow, lmao, you are one dense mfer.
It's like for this entire thread you haven't comprehended a single thing. I or nobody else in this thread, defended concord's player numbers, or concord at all. Everybody who has been paying attention to the industry knew this game was getting shut down. Nobody should be surprised, this controversy clearly has you feeling like a kid on Christmas day. It's the simple things, for simple people I guess.
All you have done this whole time is yell about concord and wokeness, just like this. I never would have imagine you would come back and do it again lmao.
I think the woke mind virus might be real, and you have it. You just can't stop, it's like you have a parasite feeding on your brain. Which would make sense considering your reading comprehension and grammar.
Dude, what material? You don't even understand the conversation thus far. You come back in here with BAABAHABAHABA CONCORD FAILED, Like anybody was proven wrong or supposed to be surprised.
Nah man keep going, tell me more about all the material you have. Did Griffin put his video up yet? You can parrot it for us, when I need you ill just say concord three times.
I actually like the game, and honestly a lot of people hating on it doesn’t bother me. I completely disregard online discourse around games in these times. People genuinely enjoy trashing everything now, and if a game doesn’t reach the critical mass of hype and acceptance by the general gaming public, the opposite can happen and it becomes accepted that it’s bad by almost everyone. I think people just hate Ubisoft and even more people than that hate Star Wars now. I’ve put like 25 hours into it, it’s perfectly cromulent, it could be better in some ways but I appreciate a Star Wars game where you can play as basically the female equivalent of Han Solo.
Im not saying you can't like it, me personally I dislike star wars a lot now. Its more or less oversaturated. It didn't need to be this mainstream now.. simply because the more of it I see the less it has its own 'charm' if that makes sense. Pumping it out like Marvel ruins it but my 2c.
Glad you enjoy it at least
I agree with that much at least, squeezing intellectual property this hard is not good for the image of the brand and ultimately degrades it over time. I would suspect that at least 25% of the core Star Wars fanbase has been alienated at this point. I think the Disney shows are way too plentiful and many are not that good. I do like Andor and Mando and think that they were beneficial stories worth telling but some of the others were not. I don't think Acolyte is as offensible as some but I would say that it's mediocre and only served to really hurt Star Wars as a whole. Too much IS too much, I just feel like video games is not a media with as much Star Wars, at least not large single player AAA games. Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor are the only other 2 apart from all the Aspyr remasters which are years and years old.
And thanks for saying that, I do like it but I can see how people might not want this kind of game, it's very much another Ubisoft Open World experience. The main story is probably 20-25 hours if you mainline it but you could sink 100+ hours into this if you are trying to clear everything on the map.
For me it was a poor example of an open world game. I never felt much freedom in how I approached objectives, whether it was breaking into compounds, or traversing the open world.
For example I had a "one shot" mission on a plateau in the open world. I circled it on my bike like three times looking for any way to get up. Then I strayed (barely) away from it, and the objective failed. There was one way up that mountain, probably a zip-line or a faintly coloured cliff somewhere. In avatar i've found my way up massive mountains in ways that were definitely not the intended way. In outlaws you walk around and hope to get a prompt or see some yellow marks.
At least in the early game, stealth does not give you many options either. In the compounds there is one or two ways into the high security room max. Then you fail, and have to restart, and do it the exact same way again because your options are so limited. I didn't expect expect dishonoured level design, but I expected a little more. You really don't want to be in negative standing with any of the factions because that means even more stealth.
Why is cover shooting so much worse here than in the division? It's stiff, there's no blind-fire, why after 10 hours do I have the same tools as when I started. The blaster (with an upgrade or two yay) and the grenades.
I was definitely impatient with this one, but I found myself frustrated too often.
I can't speak on the Disney movies, but I did like Rebel Moon which is probably a hot take. The Madalorian season 1 was great as well, but I haven't seen anything else. There is definitely a lot of star wars out there. Wasn't even aware of those other shows.
Edit: I also don't like how woke it is. The female character is unglier than concords eeeewwwww its so feminist why is the main character not male? everything offends me
Likewise, I'm willing to bet that most of the target playerbase cares more about Avatar than what platform it's on; if you just want to fly around Pandora and shoot one-dimensional corporate goons, it's pretty darn fun.
People take Steam concurrent player numbers too seriously, it’s a glimpse of a game’s overall sales but when you delay the game’s launch by a long period of time, that just abstracts the number even more from total lifetime sales. I’m someone who’s only been on PC for about 3 years since steam has been a thing (I used to game on PC as a kid before Steam existed), so I’m not as unwilling to buy games on Epic or elsewhere if my options are between that, PS5, and waiting 6-12 months longer (to buy the Steam version). As a Star Wars fan, I was willing to do that for Outlaws but not Avatar.
The truth is, a lot of times we just don’t know how well a game sold if no numbers are announced by the publisher. But with Avatar (and Outlaws), it seems like it probably wasn’t a ton of people. If I had to guess, I would say between 250k - 1 million tops across all platforms for each game with Avatar probably being on the lower side of that estimate and Outlaws being on the higher side.
The open world in this one empty boring missed oppurtunity once again. And dont even start with outlaws lmao. This was the last Ubi game im convinced they are not worth any money anymore
