I refuse to pay for FG mods from puredark, maybe if it was sold outright then I would buy it but I’m not supporting someone’s patreon to be able to use frame generation, I can just use FSR or just DLSS upscaling only. Gaming costs enough money without spending $10 here and $15 there supporting modders and small developers. People with trust funds and unlimited cash flow can prop up those endeavors, but not me
There’s a good chance I’ll be buying it and can answer your question about that in a few days. Can you describe this frame time bug? I haven’t experienced anything like that in Avatar. I recommend checking out Digital Foundry’s PC review, they released the console breakdown today but Alex Battaglia’s review should drop by Thursday.
"I don't know when this [keybinds don't save] bug was introduced as I am new to the game, but I also have a frame time bug - almost as if the game is constantly switching between controller and keyboard and mouse input." For clarity, I'm not using any controller and I only have a keyboard and mouse plugged in. Actually, the only other USB device I can think of is my AIO cooler that wants/demands a USB connection.
If you enable VSYNC either through the NVIDIA control panel or through the game, it will remain stuttery. Circle strafing around any object or strafing left and right will show blurry/stuttery objects. Cutscenes look normal. But you can also use MSI Afterburner to prove there's a bug with frame time graphs. I'll also be buying STAR WARS OUTLAWS to find out myself.
This is Avatar forum ! Not Star wars!! Get lost with that spam!!
It’s relevant because it shows that Ubisoft left out DLSS Frame Generation on this Snowdrop game, but included it on Outlaws. I’d hardly consider it spam within the context of Steam Discussions and the kind of trash that some people post regularly.
Where would you prefer to congregate?
I’ve played it for 2 days already. The game is really good as long as you have a great PC(for visuals). Gameplay wise, it works like a less frustrating version of Metal Gear Solid V. I play it on hard, it still can be very challenging on some scenarios, I really don’t understand where complaining coming from.
Let me put it simple, if you enjoy Avatar FoP, you will like Outlaws.
Everyone agrees on Star Wars having DLSS frame generation. We were talking about- Avatar has FSR frame generation which doesn’t require bespoke hardware, your card most likely does support it. Avatar doesn’t have DLSS Frame Generation which is only usable for RTX 40xx series cards. It’s generally preferable to AMD’s equivalent because it allows you to use DLSS upscaling (with the frame generation). Newer games that support FSR 3.1 upscaling allow for combining DLSS upscaling with FSR frame generation, but only a few Sony PC ports from Nixxes support FSR 3.1
I still haven’t pulled the trigger on it either and I’m quick to buy games at full price when it’s something I really want to play. Seems like it’s a solid 7 out of 10 but with bugs and enemy AI issues. I even had a 100 Ubisoft U coins (which can be used for a 20% discount), I didn’t realize you can’t use them on games that are less than 3 months old. Probably just going to wait until they discount by 25-30% (which will be by Christmas knowing Ubisoft).
Now I have refunded on PSN and I am waiting for a nice sale, once they fix most bugs and hopefully improve AI.
I learned it is not worth to buy most games on day one.
Agreed, I bought Star Wars: Jedi Survivor on day 1 last year and that game was a hot mess on both PC and Console. It’s crazy that they pour so much money into games’ development and then turn around and basically punish you if you purchase it at full price. Waiting a few months tends to almost always lead to a better experience for AAA games.
Even now it is not 100% optimised, but it is a much better experience.
Outlaws needs more time for it to cook, as expected from Ubisoft.
I have no doubt in a year or so I will enjoy it.
