How does co-op work?
I've been playing the single player mode and enjoying it so far, but my friend wants to get the game and play coop. is there a way i can join his session and progress there but it not affect my single player character. i don't wanna play with him then return to my world and be overpowered.

yah that's my concern as well. I think I may wait until my second playthrough and do that co-op with friends.

Anyway from what I've read...whoever invites it occurs in their game world...but you get whatever character and equipment progress you made and it said something like "it's possible to skip the quests you did in another player's world"...let me find you the ubisoft article...

Co-op progression in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
While playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in a co-op session, completed quests progress will be saved for both players. This means that the guest player can return to their own single-player adventure and continue where they left off.

When returning to their world, the guest player will have the possibility to skip completed quests they have already finished with a friend.

Guest players will be able to keep any rewards they collect or any rewards from completed quests, such as:

Ammunition
Crafting Material
Cosmetic items
Gear
Weapons
Purchased items
Upgraded items

If the guest player needs a specific skill to complete a quest but has not unlocked it yet, the skill will be granted permanently.

I wish coop was available from the get go and supported more than 2 players, but alas forced to grind a bit before coop is unlocked and then limited to 2 players. Some of the RDA spots have so many mechs that it would be a lot more fun with 3 or 4 friends...

I know i am late to this, but there are spots for 3 save files, you can have 1 for yourself and 1 for your friend to co-op with.
