I don't own Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora on console but I do on PC through Ubisoft Connect and can confirm that this game is insanely good. I think the Avatar game that you played years ago on PS3 may have been James Cameron's Avatar: The Game (2009). That was an excellent game, I've played that one too, if it's the same one. Now about Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, I will not spoil a thing but overall, a major improvement in terms of graphics and what the game has to offer. Being one who has played Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora on PC, it's a masterpiece to be honest with you so I'm sure the console version would be good too even though I don't have it on there lol.

I recommend if you are a major Avatar fan, do not look up any gameplay of the game to have the best Avatar experience. I was stupid and looked at videos before it came out back in 2023. For me, this one is worth getting into and it's co-op too, met a lot of nice people through Discord. This one felt much more immersive, like you are really there, graphics are crazy good.

If you want to know more about the game before getting it once in launches, feel free to private message me as friend and I'll answer every question. But yes, the game is good, very good.

If anyone wants a co-op buddy, I'm more than happy to play with you as well. Also if others have questions about the game before getting it, what I just said further up lol. ^^^

You can play it alone. Co-op is optional.

I have played it twice. Great game. Great Graphics. I have clocked up about 450 Hrs including exploring etc. Some people have played the main story in 25 Hrs but they are only seeing a quarter of the game.

Getting your flying mount is quite the moment and insanely well done. Now I get to relive it.

Played 220 solo hours so far on PC.

While not the second coming as some will expect, it is a competent game with a beautiful world to explore. Feels like some love was really put into it's creation.

Still plan on playing the upcoming DLCs.

Would rather play the game then shoot myself in the foot over some issue like achievements or copy protection.

I bought this at launch on the skip fire that is Ubi Connect. It's basically Far Cry with blue people. You capture bases, craft things, and repeat. If that appeals to you then pick it up, but if you're sick of the Ubi open world formula then maybe look elsewhere.

Also of note, it's AMD sponsored so you won't find DLSS 3 frame gen here, although it does at least have DLSS super resolution. There's FS3 3 frame gen, but that locks you into FSR2 upscaling which looks pretty ugly, as usual.

wait would my hardware even play it then?

I know this sounds mean, it's not my intention. But if you thought the 2009 Avatar game was an "excellent" game then we can dismiss the rest of your message entirely. "Do not look up any gameplay" is what a Ubi shill would say in order to keep people from looking up the sub-par gameplay.
"Improved graphics" really?! Who would have thought!
"masterpiece" from Ubisoft? There is no alternate dimension where this is possible. Especially not this one.

Sorry, again, I don't mean to sound mean, but there is just NO WAY you are not paid by Ubi in one way or another to be saying all this. No one can possibly actually genuinely think like that about any Ubi products. There's impossible, and there's IMPOSSIBLE. This is IMPOSSIBLE.

I'm still gonna get it and see for myself, I know Ubisoft are getting worse and worse but to be honest its mainly there far cry and assassins creed games that are getting more bad, this one actually does not look half bad, I do like open world games and I'm gonna give this one a shot cause I did like the old Avatar game

i have it for PS5. its insanely pretty and thats sadly the only good thing i can say about it. the combat is unsatisfying, the animations feel stiff, theres the typical modern ubisoft grind, theres multiple female voices you can choose from but only 1 male voice, all the heads you can choose from suck too if your wanting to be a make a male character. the only reason i never sold my copy is i have the steelbook version (which was sadly hot garbage because the protective sleeve has all the artwork and the case itself is just blue) and i collect steelbooks
