Very doubtful it will be on release.
It ran like crap on the Steamdeck when being installed on Ubisofts launcher.
But maybe there is a chance that it will run slightly better on Steam thanks to precached shaders.

Steam version will be exactly the same as Ubisoft.
Also Ubisoft stated multiple times, they games are might be playable in SD, but are not supported in any way.
Considering the game wants you to have a 3060ti just to hit "recommended" specs I highly doubt it'll run well at all on a steam deck

Hmmm deck verified
Would buy it. But I fear it wont load or play on deck easy due to needing a different launcher.

If it does end up being Deck verified (or at least, playable) I might consider it. Otherwise, idk.

it will require Ubisoft Connect in order to play as listed on the Store Page. meaning it wont be Verified

I'm affraid we might be disappointed with the graphics.

I played AC:Valhalla on Deck (rated 🟡Playable) and that needed the Ubisoft launcher too. Lots of games that work fine on Deck need launchers and usually the launching is seamless. It does prevent it from getting a full 🟢Verified rating though.

The question with Avatar on Deck for me is performance but worst case I could stream it from my desktop.

I remember trying it out on the Deck when it first launched and barely getting 10 to 15 fps unfortunately.

I saw videos of the uplay version, it definitely did not run well so I’m assuming it will be the same here. Unless Ubisoft optimizes it more themselves, which I doubt they will.
