Covenant Question [bug] - answered
I had 7 devotion with the stone roots, then joined the iron ones later on. When I go back to a stone roots sanctuary I can buy equipment, but I can't make offerings. Also, the stone leader refuses to talk to me or let me "work".

So I went to the Candlelit lady, but she wont let me remove sin. The option is there, but nothing happens when I click 'yes' in the dialogue box.

Maybe that stone leader is just forever mad at me. Am I missing something?

It's a bug! You should be able to clear your sin. James is fixing it. Thanks!

The reason you can't talk to the Stone Roots Leader is because you currently belong to the Iron Ones. Changing Creed resets Devotion, gives you Sin, and blocks you from using most of the NPCs belonging to that Creed.

Do you have enough Salt to remove your Sin? It's not free and can get fairly pricy. I know that's a fairly obvious thing, though it's all I can think of. I've personally not encountered any issues/bugs with removing Sin.

EDIT: Apparently there is a bug I've managed to avoid so far. Which is odd given how much I removed sin for my second playthrough for the Creed joining achievements.

You may be able to use the arrow keys and spacebar/enter to select yes. Give that a try.

Hi !

I'm running v1.0.0.5 on Linux and have a similar problem :

I was at devotion 7 to Devara, then switched to the Betrayers. I set up some stones in their sanctuary (especially a stone guide), then teleported to a previous shrine of Devara (I can't remember whether by guide or horn. No bell though, and no walking there.)

Nobody attacked me, and I was able to plead an oath to Devara again. However, the leaders would not offer me work to improve my devotion again (the work list is empty).

I then went to the Candlelit Lady to cleanse 80 salt of curse (where from ?) and 1000 salt of sin, then went to a Devara's shrine again, but the leader's list is still empty, and I'm hence stuck with devotion 1. :-(

I believe there are two bugs here :
- Devara's followers should have attacked me after I switched to the Betrayers
- I shouln't be able to plead an oath to Devara before clearing my sin

So what can I do ? Do I need to plead an oath to another creed, get my sins cleansed THEN plead again to Devara ?

Ok, that did solve my issue :
- I pleaded an oath to the House of Splendor
- I went to the Candlelit Lady to have my sins cleansed
- I went to a shrine of Devara and pleaded an oath
- I talked to a leader who then had work for me again :-D

That's pretty weird... Glad you got it figured out though!
