Save Files Deleted upon Restoring Backup

I had heard that this game had recently received an update, so I had tried to restore this game from a backup drive. The backup is for the previous version of the game, 1.0.0.8. There was only one save file for the game, which had at least 140 hours on it.

The problem arises when actually restoring the backup. After restoring the backup and booting up the game, I had recognized that the save had seemed to be deleted. I read a few discussions, and it appeared that the save data was stored in the local files, but had now moved to the "My Documents" folder. But after navigating to the "Salt and Sanctuary" folder in My Documents, it appears that there is no save data in that location either.

This persists even after installing the beta branch for the previous patch and attempting to restore again. Is there any solution for this problem? Is it possible to get my save data back?
