Maybe the changes for Enhanced mode make it more balanced, because on Classic its way too strong.
Many others had mentioned Jaws of Death also. I wonder if it's base stat is so much better or what, cause it has only B scaling.
IIRC its because of it's "extra blades" tag being weird and basically doubling it's stated damage.
This game made me fall in love with the heavy armor + mace playstyle, for example. I used to only be spears and healing spells. And Magic is pretty great too, balancing Fire and Lightning adds a little extra management to it, and the Dark spells are really strong but destroy any defense you have when you use them.
Another thing is that every weapon type has it's own combos. Not just mixing up light and heavy attacks, but holding up or down when you attack can change the attack. Daggers have a kick-flip combo and can send you flying through the air. Then there's guns / crossbows and all THEIR specific moves and combos too.
There's just so much you can do with this game's combat!
