Rings don't stack.
I'm a little disappointed by this. You can only have one ring of a kind equipped, any more will do nothing. I went into new game+ hoping for some ring shenanigans, but nope.

Why is this? Looking at the various rings in the game, I don't think there's anything specifically game-breaking about any particular setup. You're sacrificing versatility for one really strong effect too.

I'm not too sure about this, having 4 of the ring that increases attack might lead to balancing issues for example. I think the salt and gold bonus rings should stack however. Maybe add this as a suggestion in the feedback subforum?

Well sure, you have a point there, but a system of diminishing returns probably wouldn't too difficult to code either.

Maybe I will.

The same thing applied in Dark Souls. Allowing Rings to stack would probably have to be a conscious addition to the game, one that the devs felt was too overpowered to allow. So dont expect them to change it to make rings stack.

I know that most especially having several Bloodflower rings would break the game's difficulty.

Serious question. Have you tested this? Like tested tested this? Because I have two Brightcoral rings and two Kismet Stone rings equipped on the first NG+ and they all stack (at least in the numbers on the stat screen) I tried stacking two grasping rings to no effect, but my drop rate's past 100 on the 1'st NG+ with a modest dex build.

I wonder if it is display issue, so any ring that would add a value to your character sheet looks likes it's working. Should be simple enough to test using the str/dex/magic rings, and hitting something with 1 and then 2 rings equipped.

Yep, unlimited stacking of certain rings would likely break balancing.

Since we're comparing to Dark Souls, I'm going to compare to Castlevania, the other big inspiration for this title, and that let you double up on rings to hilarious effect in most games that had them. Even if the effect were limited to 2, I'd be satisfied.

Actually, Dark Souls 2 and 3 have mutliple rings with similar effects, there are like 2 to 3 rings for every magic damage type that you can stack. There are also some rings to increase damage in general, which you can also stack.
