Do you mean the floating skulls? I guess they took some inspiration from the flying medusa heads in Castlevania, they are the same pain to defeat :-D

Fear not, are you melee or caster?
Those skulls will chase you with no pause. Observe how they attack! They start a rushing animation as soon as they are close to you, you must roll through this and imidiatly get ready to attack them. If you don't deal enough damage to kill em with 1 hit, either try a buff, or work on your footwork! Kee moving, but don't empty your stamina bar.

You can also dodge them till you seperate em a bit.

Those skulls are bad in chasing you vertically, so try to use stairs to get above them and bash em with a loaded heavy attack.

Never get caught in between 2 skulls and anoher enemy, that's almost your certain death.

Quite a tip you gave me, huh? Thanks for the help, dude. :D
Also, I'm using a melee character with an Infantry Pollaxe.

High five! I'm poleaxing in this playthrough too! But only as secondary method, I'm a mage, which makes the skulls a lot easier.

Love the combos with the pole-arm weapons :-D

Yay. o/
I'm a lover for poleaxes and halberds, they are always so fun to use that they became a must have for me. The combos are the best part too, I always get too excited and end up dead because of how flashy they are, it makes me feel like I playing Devil May Cry.

So true! I always overestimate my damage output because the animation is so cool but with 12 str and about 18 dex in mid game is my damage pretty laughable for the size of those weapons :-D

Right now I'm using that huge sickle which the Red Knights wear, upgraded it to +4 and buffing it with magic, stll feels satisfying to spin around and throw em into he air, despite only being able to kill standart mobs with it :-D

+1 for "Polearms are awesome" (and an initial 1 for "Spears are fun, too")

+1 for "Emberskulls suck and I hate them"

I am doing my second run through the game as a theif ... that only uses daggers and I hate the skulls. I am going pure posion death build and god i hate the dragon since it seems he is immune to posion so i have no idea how i can kill him. mages have it easy :(

You mean the Wyrm? I'm almost certain that he can be poisoned. Are you using a buff or knives?
Ahh, nevermind, wiki says it has 500 resistance to poison, but isn'T immune though, haha!

Edit: The third lamb has the highest poisen res I think, you do not even need to try, I bet it takes 30 poisoned knives to poison it.

Pro tip: in one of the sanctuarys you can pick up the blacksmith's gear, in the castle is an "impen" ring and if you picked up the pumpkin helmet you can get your fire resistance up to like 270 or so. The "Ember" skulls do fire damage and so does the wyrm, as long as you can dodge the physical attacks. Knowing all this makes life so much easier there ;)

Edit: and for that dagger run, use shockstones to do lightening damage to the wyrm (you can get free imperial ones if you drop a leader in the shrine and finish a quest of his).

Just wait till you use poison on the disembowled husk

Never found them to be a big problem. Thanks to blacksmith armor. My paladin, jump + heavy attack with morning star. My thief, jump + normal attack with dagger/tachi/sword. Run/roll away after every attack to reset position. The jump is crucial, because after recovering from attack stagger the skulls quickly headbutt horizontally. Falling down from jump evades that.

Just wait until you get repeatedly gangbanged by the dudes around the untouched whatever boss. I lost 30k salt to the boss and then immediately lost the 17k he dropped because I forgot to pop the undersight every 30 seconds. Felt super cheap but that's why farming exists.
