Red ear?! Where?

Hi,

i farmed the red lords in the cage stage for 30min now (+ 2x increased drop rate). Not even 1 red ear dropped. Is there any bug or something?

Only the red lords drop em, but very rarely! There is a green ring that increases items drops...it's earlier in the game...Hint: Smiles.

Ah, you seem to already have the ring. However, I like to be in the way yof three covenant, because of the classical rpg bottle, but I need Hearthseeker neves for a rank upgrade, which might have an even lower drop rate then the red ears, I think I killed 40 until I got three.

Are you sure you are fighting the right knights? You can see a picture of them in the beastiarity. But I guess you are just truly unlucky, did you try to restart the game? Maybe you have triggered a glitch.

Btw. time doesn't matter, just how many you have slain ;-)

Btw. on ps4 it took me a while too every time, but on my first char on pc, the first one just dropped it, my jaw was open for a few minutes after this.

The ring that increases your willpower actually increases item find more than the actual item find ring. Kinda strange but hey.. equip them both and go to town.

yea I think there's a couple random armor pieces that also boost item discovery with a hidden bonus. Can't remember which ones off-hand, but cycle through your equipment and keep an eye on the item discovery stat.

Just to leave this here for other folks who may be trying to farm the ears of red lords:

I've found the least inefficient location to do so is nearly at the end of the Red Hall of Cages. From the shrine you rest at right before the Tree of Men, you can go left, kill the Vile Guard on the platform, climb the ladder, and then head up the stairs to kill a Red Lord, two Emberskulls, and a Torturer. You can also get a second Torturer, a Clay Phantom, and a Gaoler on the way up there, if you're inclined. Then head back to the shrine to rinse and repeat.

Incase someone else ever googles how to farm Red Lord ears, the best place is from Crahns pass House of Splendor sanctuary. To the left of it is a wheel that takes you up 1 Red Lord and one of those floaty eye things. Each run takes less than a minute
