I think it would take a lot of work to have it function in such a way considering how Charms work.
You can weapon+shield+charm just fine, but weapon+crossbow/gun uses the charm slot for ammo.
It would be a nice feature, though I have no idea how they would go about implementing it easily.
It would just be a matter of making the shield inaccessible while 2hing a weapon.
I'm sure that's easier said than done and would need some changing to the interface but it's an idea anyway.
You can decide if you want to have the same weapon in your single hand and two handed load out, or if you want different weapons for each load out, or 2 two handed etc.
You have to make up your mind before you are going on with your task, just like with items, when you want to face a boss which you know is vulnurable to poison, equip poison knives and unequip everything that is useless in the battle and would just cost you precious time switching through the items.
Enjoy the game, have fun, praise the salt!
I referred to the way op writes, he is clearly very frustrated because of some game mechanics, and it's just no easy to respond in a polite way, trying to discuss the topic, because no matter what suggestion one gives, or how you explain something, he will always respond like he did first:
"Except for the fact that if I wanted to 2 hand say my whip or sword, if it even does anything bonus wise, I would have to open the damn menu and unequip the shield when just a simple button press to the, say, I dunno UNBOUND keys would suffice(dpad up)."
This is the kind of person, that would only be satisfied if the developer would kind of admit to the flaws that op thinks the game has and fix them. When I would be so disappointed in a game, I would stop playing it, instead of opening one salty thread after another, like with Dark Souls 2.
I just sense a bit hostility in his writing, which I don't know how respond to without offending op, I maybe could just not comment at all, but I want to help people on this forum, because I love the game.
