So just skilling the first skill right at the start of the skillboard is not enough even though it says you can now wield swords and greatswords?
Go to your skilltree, you will see, that each skill has a decent description which tells you, what kind of weapon you now can one hand and which you can only two hand.
And no, weapons do not have stat requiremnets, you only need to level the skill for it.
Sounds a bit complicated just to figure out how to use weapons but thx for the explanation.
It's actually not. I blame this on my lack of explaining myself better and shorter in English.
Skill tree - read description of skill - level 1 greatwsword skill tells you, that you now can use tier 1 greatswords with two hands (only 1 red line instead of a red cross on weapon icon) - level 2 greatsword skill tells you, that you can now one hand greatswords of the level 1 tier (clear weapon icon in inventory)
Hope that was better :-D
