Not in game but a map was put together over at Fextralife if you want to check it out.[saltandsanctuary.wiki.fextralife.com] <-- Spoiler Warning.

Please add in a map?
Just something we can open from the menu would be nice, hell if we have to find it that's fine too it's just...trying to keep track of where everything is at times is a little daunting when you're working from memory and you let the game sit for a bit and forgot where you are/where you planned on going.

map would make the game way too easy imo, it's all about exploring and finding loot and monsters on your journey, adding a map would just direct you to where everything is

Yeah well a map we fill in wouldn't be a bad thing. Super Metroid had such a map and was still challenging, Castlevania's since Symphony of the Night have also had a filled in map. A game like this really does need a map so you can keep track of where you are and where you're going so when you come back after like say a week or even just a few days you're not lost on where you meant to go.

Maybe it's a console command to reveal your X/Y position on any given map? No idea...

I don't think so, the PC release is too fresh for that. Those coordinates must come from the console version.

This game is all about being a 2D Dark Souls. And there is no map in any Dark Souls game. So don't expect to have any way to map the game..

Except that the Dark Souls games have actual landmarks and archetecture so you rarely lose your way, this is all 2D with samey floor sprites and massive branching paths at times.

No Map please....

I agree on this. I find it a lot easier to find my way around a Dark Souls game than this here. Since this also borrows from the Metroidvania formula you could just as well argue that those games always have a map, ESPECIALLY since there is so much hidden crap all over.

And you could place markers on the map for hidden stuff you can't reach yet.
Such a thing is never needed in a "Dark Souls", but I think it's needed in this game, cause I hate to think about: "Where was this place where I can't jump high enough?".
Sure, "Dark Souls" is a "3D Metroidvania", but without movement upgrades and unreachable things till you get some upgrade.

Finding your way in 3D is MUCH easier than in 2D...

No need for a detailed map of each area.. Just a world map showing what zones(already discovered) are connected..

I agree this game could win by going a little bit more metroid vania as it's a 2D game, not like DS.
I think a map could be worth it, but for now, make online coop.
