You need to physically be there with another controller to play.
Pretty sure hamachi won't magically allow someone with the game to connect to a game that doesn't have a lan option... not a local multiplayer press a button on a controller. I don't mean the game has to have a server for it to work and I know how hamachi works. Just saying I don't think it would work.
What might work and this is a strong MIGHT, is trying to use Nvidias Geforce Experience Share feature to do an over the internet co-op play but I've yet to test it myself.
I didnt tryed it - but in theory it shoud work.
When the game supports lan u can use programs for setting it up no matter what the game is - if the game dont support lan and online play than u cant.
Well basicly u can anyway - but u need to write the code yourself - wich will probably end up in not working ;P.
This is what I meant when I said hamachi most likely wouldn't work. @Kazmor
Here is moonlight.
http://moonlight-stream.com/ I never tried it with people online, but it works with my brother's computer which is in the other room.
Using Moonlight and Nvidia Gamestream work perfectly fine to create online coop for couch only coop games like this one. I have done it many times with my brother. He lives in another city but I bought him an nvidia shield and synced it up to my pc gaming rig. Anytime we want to play couch coop games together we simply start a game steam up, open up a game on the shield, and it will stream to both his shield and my 4k tv at the same time. I then use a controller hooked up to my pc as a second player while the shield acts as player 1.
Using this method I can play ANY couch coop game in the world over the internet with my bro. shield streaming supports up to 4k 60fps even if you have the bandwidth for it of course :)
Poster probably didn't know about moonlight.
I sure didn't.
