How to get the Amber Idol?

Ive been told to farm the Bloated Monstrosity near the Mad Alchemist, but ive killed him a little over 3 dozen times and have yet to get an Amber Idol, all ive gotten are Ears and Bags of Salt.

yes he drops it but it will take a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. Normally i drop 3 ears of him before even got one amber... It would be easy to enter the splendor creed and farm devotion to get merchants to sell it. OR.. you can get them on this locations:

Hager's Cavern: In the side area below and to the right of the sanctuary, where you can get the Cellar Key in a room full of giant spiders
Dome of the Forgotten: To the left of the sanctuary
Dome of the Forgotten: On a platform in the right side of the area, near a Steel Hornet enemy
Ziggurat of Dust: In the lower area (past a Redshift barrier) in a Mimku chest
Ziggurat of Dust: In the lower area (past a Redshift barrier) near several Drowned Porcelain enemies
Pitchwoods: In an early room along the upper path accessed from the Far Beach

Ya... i now have 14 Ears, 5 Red Shards, 2 Angered Jaws, and 5 Pouches of Salt, but not a single Ambers Idol...
