Can i play the entire game in Coop?

Hi guys, i am looking for some more coop games to play with my brother, and saw that this one have local coop. I read that both characters must be already created for this to work, i was wondering if we both level up the same way, or the xp is splitted, and everything the second played do on my world gets carried onto his save file.

Salt and Sanctuary co-op is far more long-lasting than Dark Souls, and your partner can travel through areas, level up, and all that. They won't get any Key Items you pick up though, and will have to grab those in their own world.

Your brother would be able to level up at any Sanctuary, same as you. But only the host(you) can *claim* a Sanctuary.

I think is fine, the plan is just use one profile to play the game until the end, we will always play together, so we shouldn't have any problems right?

If your partner is fine always being player 2, and not advancing in his world, it should be fine.

Dunno how co-op would work with one character in NG+ and the other in NG though... but that'll come up later.

We recently finished cuphead on xbox, he was always the player 2, but it was great playing in coop. If we can get to the end together is fine for us. Thanks for the answers.
