I hope considering how the internet is these days this doesn't devolve into some horrid feminist vs gamers thing.
You have it the wrong way there
I also like it how it is, males could end up shoehorning shoddy and stupid romances. Though there probably is a reason as to why it is the way it is.
Also the Anime comparison can go both ways, given the otaku steriotype, the tendicy to have mostly girl cast in certain types of shows and the fact that Moe Anthropomorthisms (whcih the CPUs and Makers Are) tend to be female. Sexist? perhaps. Not all cases are Moe Anthopomorthisms are female? Of couse, but you have to admit that the gender ratio is kinda skewed.
That said it could be interesting to have charaters based on game genres, but them being male would be unlikely given the precidents.
Bear in mind that the CPUs represent consoles not Genres. The Makers are game companies. Arfoire is a pirate (that is oriniclay a witch, but that could be blamed on her namesake in Japan), and Histoire is techicaly a book.
As for the shares, why increase the limit to 200? That wouden't really make much sence from an analasys standpoint unless the shares came out of thin air (and maybe not even then) and there is usualy a 5th place where shares are anyway (Others in Re;birth 1, ASIC in mk2 and Re;Birth2 and Eden in Victory and V Century, though that last one actualy had a CPU represening it).
As for a new villain thing. That can still probably happen, maybe a Jack Thompson pastice? a parody of recent events (They DID incoperate the Great Crash in Victory, though I don't think that certain events will go as far as casuing a ressession like E.T did)? Odds are that given Arfoire and Rei as precidents, it may be another personification of a techological concept (Hackers were already done, maybe Viruses? Vitural Reality?)
Finnaly, there are 3 more points regarding "8 CPUs in total" thing
Like i said, there is a skewed gender ratio with Moe antropomorphisms. That said there are some boys that could be considered Moe. But it might just be a semantic thing right now
Frankly I third this opinion. I'd rather not bring turn think into "gender flame war number 49271" either (and before you ask I made my first post here before the coments came, Steam doesn't have an option to show the comments in real time until after you submit the post, and I really hope a small refernce to the event in question dosn't start an ignition)
It's like literally making a printing press for money. Just saying. xD
I've picked horror theme because horror has been well acquented with our modern games, thanks to resident evil, Silent hill, Fatal Frame, Outlast, Alien: Isolation, Clock Tower, Amnesia, Lucius and other games that represent the theme fit well.
I've picked War theme because War games has been around for a very long time. Call of Duty, Battlefield, Project Snowblind, Kill Zone, The Order 1886, Socom, EVE Online, Planetside 2, and other games that represents an eternal war.
I've picked the puzzle theme because puzzles games have been popping in in almost all platforms, such as Professor Layton vs Phenoix Wright, Portal, Anti-chamber, The Talos Principle, Kairos, Myst, and many other puzzling games rather it's match 3, seek and find, or whatever it's fancy, puzzles fits it's theme... and I think the male that represents represents a vast amount of intelligence.
The last them I pick was something quite the opposite for Lowee which Lowee represents the children and family theme along with the seasons, the opposite that could repesent a male god could represent the more serious tone of game, and that is the E-sports. E-sports been around since quake, counter-strike, Wolfenstein (possibly but not for sure), Team Fortress 2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Smite, and other games that represent the e-sports theme can fit in.
These are 4 themes that I came up that been popular as of late, and the games that we been hooked on that I don't mind seeing an apperence in Gamindustri's world.
Already pointed out the Moe Personification thing above. The 2nd point is another inreresting facet. Though I think most of this tends to be tied into Yuri a lot
Yeah somethign in my head told me you picked ESports becuase it seems as anti-Nintendo as possible.
oh wow... I didn't know the CPU represents as consoles because it's hard to tell sometimes... is Blanc suppose to represent nintendo because of it's theme? Neptune is playstation? I'm confused about that.
as for the reason for the shares to increase to 200, it's to balance if the 4 extra lands appeared, considering it is 100 and there is 5 usuing the shares, planetune, lastation, leanbox, lowee, and others... 5 battles over the shares... if 4 more lands appear, it's best to increase the shares none the less to help balanced between 8 cpu's... followed by 9 users of shares...
Here is a breakdown of what CPU prepresents what:
Neptune: SEGA. Represents an unreleased console
Noire: SONY. Represents the Playstation 3
Vert: Microsoft. Represents the Xbox
Blanc: Nintendo. Represetns the Wii
The last three names (frence terms for colors, black, green and white respectibly) as well as the name and theme of their lands reference the resective consoles. Noire rules pLAySTATUON. Vert rules (Lean)xBOX and Blacn rules loWEE (e as ain i).
mk2 introduced the Candidates, the sisters of neptune, Noire and Blanc and represents handhels (hance why Vert is an only child, so to speak)
Nepgear: represents the Game Gear, an old SEGA handheld
Uni: represetns the playstaion portable
Rom and Ram: both represents the Nintendo DS
and Victory adds 3 more CPUs (though only 2 are playable)
Plutia: SEGA. Represents the Genesis (or some scrapped add on for the Saturn, its hard to tell)
Peashy: HudsonSoft. Represetns the TurboGrafix16 (Not Comuptor games as a "console, despite her name and HDD's bustsize)
Rei: Atari. Represetns the Atari 2600 (the console that was involed in the Great Crash of 1983,)
I gotcha now... Just to be honest, I thought the CPU's are actually "CPU's" the processor of the land, I thought the characters themselves just represent a certain theme and not the console itself... while the rest are filled with other things related towards games... When the CPU transform, I thought they just overclocked themselves...
