Wth is this jank?
This game must the most unoptimized one I played in years. Hell even Star Citizen is a buttery smooth business in comparison. Not even with AMF2 the gameplay is doable. What kind of rig does one need to play at lowest details here? Surely my 6600XT with 5600X and 64 RAM is usually up to run most open world games above 60FPS, not getting even stable 20 no matter how much I decrease the details. This demo does not bode well with any expectations.

What are you storing it on?

While I'm rooting for game, you are completely correct, optimisation is garbage tier, and my rig also lags on every setting except like lowest, even though other games go smoothly on Ultra.

Definitely not great, so you aren't alone in this feeling. Still, it's early early access, so I can kinda swallow that optimisations are usually done later - but I think they should prioritize it more as it is real issue even for people considering buying

Sounds like a bleeding edge hardware issue, I've 'only' got a 2070, 5600X and 32GB RAM and it runs acceptably at medium/high.

the only two things I can say are: For starters turn the FPS option in the options menu to "unlimited" and that should solve your FPS problems.
Secondly: This isn't the final build of the game before release, this is an Alpha slice.

It's not, stop spreading misinformation. It already had it's closed Beta phase or are you implying that the game degraded over time?

Please be a little understanding, at this moment the game is in development and impressions about the content are more important, performance adjustments will certainly be in line with market standards, it is normal. I believe it will have all modern upscaling resources, DLSS, maybe frame generator. The game's proposal is very interesting and the setting attracted me too.

Yes its called EA and it blows my mind how many people dont even or havent read the definition of EA just by looking at the game page and looking at where it says EA game!...i just dont get it.

Still. You don't release a game in EA in a state that is barely playable.

I am on 5600X, 64 ram a and 6600XT (eqv. to 3060). That defo should not guarantee <20FPS on low-medium and 1080p.

I run on an ancient 2600k I7 and D3 MotherBoard 24 Gig ram, SSD and a 3600 RTX and I play ultra widescreen on low settings. 5760x1080 Runs fine except for spawn ins. I get 30-40 fps easy.

i7-14700K
RTX3070
32Gb RAM

I got a solid 60fps on medium, even whilst being impacted by streaming on the same computer.

Just because you have a powerful computer doesn't guarantee the best performance. Check your settings, sometimes it can very well be a "you" issue and not the game, it being in EA is not an excuse to blame it for your own short comings.

Not saying it's definitely you, as this game definitely has optimisation issues, but you'd be surprised how many people have a random checkbox ticked that's completely throwing off their performance without realising.

From what I remember, the community wanted them to release it, but Fundog were against it, I'm not entirely sure of that as I started playing when it became available, so it was before my time, but not being able to recognise that this game is very very very early access or even not doing the basic research about it instead just blinding jumping in, seeing how things don't work then throwing a fit over it is just braindead energy.

I can run high (and some ultra) settings with 75% - 80% resolution scale with only 16Gb of RAM. Can't think why there would be an issue with your specs and stored on an SSD. There is probably a means of directly reporting the issue somewhere, though I don't know where.

I checked their Discord for the week leading up to the Early Access announcement - and that just wasn't there.

And it's not "very" early if there was already a closed beta completed. One might expect them to have identified the very obvious bugs and already resolved them before the Steam launch. Something I haven't seen parroted by anyone is a line that "this is in a much better state than the closed beta" "you think this is bad you should have seen the closed beta". etc
