Top 10 theme songs

Well, I made a video of my Top 10 character theme songs. Just for fun, I'm interested on the opinions of the community. I'm not very good in this kind of stuff, tough ^^U.

My list in no particular order aside from ranks. Warning lol big post

Top Tier

Kyoko - I like how all of the Sugu characters have a technoish tune for the most part. I really like Kyoko's theme because it kinds reflects how you gotta play her. Be all calm and in control. Just pop your hyper when at 3 HP or less and you know you'll have safe stars for couple more turns. Calculated!

Kae - When this theme kicks in, I immediately think "Time to kick ass." and that's good, cause thats how Kae usually wins.

Peat - This theme was made for level 5 battles. Battles that have 100+ stars on the line and can determinehow the game ends.

Tomomo - This theme imbedded itself in my brain during Tomomo Hell.

Mid Tier

Suguri - I really enjoy having Sugus in my games cause this theme is just excellent in almost any situation. It always comes to mind when someone plays the Final Battle card and people go on evade sprees.

Hime - I imagine Hime players who horde their hypers and suddenly get 2-3 free turns in a row. You know who you are.

Sora - More like Extrodinary Specs theme.

Saki - Theme of "Oh god I have to land on a trap or a trap? Hope this one isn't Big Ban-"

Aru - this theme always makes me nod my head to the beat. I like Christmas music in general, sooo....

Alte - Search and destroy kind of vibes are what I get from this. You just got your hyper, time to carefully lower your HP and pursue a high priority target!

Mixed Poppo - I like it a lot more than Normal Poppo because it has that feel of, "Up to no good!" to it. You just leveled up? Time to start warping!

Yuki - 'Get that cat, get that cat. Get that cat, get that cat.'


Kai, QP, Marc, Nanako, QPD, and Krila - They're all in the same boat of 'not bad but not really that great'. So I decided to bunch them up together to save time.

Low Tier

Poppo - This theme is waaay too chill for the amount of chaos and rage Poppo brings to a game.

Fernet - I get that she's supposed to have a classy theme, but that doesnt mean I dont find it boring. Plus whenever I hear this track begin in a game, I think I'm forming a party together in Touhou Labyrinth.

Syura - In my experiences, this is the theme of "Hey, pick on me! Please pick on me so my hyper becomes useful!" and it usually results in Syura's getting overkilled due to bad dice rolls. Doesn't fit the whole 'living life on the edge' mechanic.

Kyosuke - This theme is a mess.

I went on a trip after I posted the video... I'm glad to see all these opinions ^^.

Unlike some people, I actually use Orange Juice songs for other games, like Yu-Gi-Oh Pro where you can use custom music xD.

But then again, this thread's objective was precisely to exchange tastes :p (To be honest, the only character song I don't like is Syura's, but I don't hate it, I just don't like it like the others)

The lobby song... I really hate it, but that's because nobody joins the lobbies I make ¬¬. The other 2, specially the final campaign map, are nice. I miss the final campaign song actually u.u

So I went and threw together a thing. MixPo's theme was missing from my music directory (haven't gotten around to downloading it yet) so I had to go youtube it up. Stumbled on an hour-long loop, which I'm listening to now. It's strangely hypnotic. =.=

I'm going to talk a little about the songs didn't make on my list:

Yuki: As I said on the description, I really like her theme song, specially because Yuki's animations go very well with her music. This one was the hardest to me to letting outside the Top 10.

Alte: Reminds me the golden era of Rareware, that's why I like it a lot, but at the same time, I don't feel a Orange Juice emotion when she hits her norma, I just want to play DKC or GE007 when I hear her song, to be honest.


Marc: Her song reminds me "Turnabout sisters" song, a.k.a. Maya Fey's theme from Ace Attorney... and since I'm a Maya Fey hater (Please, don't be any AA fan around here), well... It took me some time to get over Marc and her nice song that doesn't fit with the bombs away attitude.

Aru: I love Christmas, I love rock, and this song is beautiful. It's just I like the 10 on the list and Yuki's better.

QP Dangerous: Another fantastic tune, but overall I just like it.

QP: Too calm and friendly for a game that destroys friendships. I like it, tough, I just wish Store Manager used Yuki's instead of QP's.

Fernet: Too calm and classy, at first I hated her and her music, but with the time, I got over it and now I like her a lot.

Marie Poppo: As somebody said before, her song doesn't fit her demoniac self. But still, is a signature song for the game, like it or not.

Krilalaris: Nice. Not on my top 10, but very nice.

Kyosuke: Along Yuki, Alte and Aru, this one was near to be on my list. It has something but I don't know what it is...

Kai: Basic as the character has to be.

Syura: Ironic, on the same DLC I have my favorite theme song of the game, and my less favorite of it. It's just, I don't know, It doesn't feel either completely calm and cheerful nor hyped and competitive. I can't describe it. I don't hate it, I just don't like it.

Ironically, today a player did ragequit because I got all the hypers hahaha. (I was playing as Sora, it could sound like "No kidding, captain obvious", but now I main Random Button, and it was beautiful)
