Thoughts on Hime and Binding Chains?
Relatively new player, but I've been enjoying Hime, and mostly play Kae, Hime, Sora. I have some others (most interested in Fernet, Fernoble, and Hime moonlight). Kae makes a lot of sense. She's very high risk high reward, and has plenty of card synergy. But with Hime, I sometimes feel like I should just pick Sora. Lol.

Hime's -1DEF vs 1HP trade off is probably okay, but I'm not sure if her hyper is all that great. I was reading some older threads and saw a suggestion to buff the chains to Level 2 instead of 3. I feel like I either hold it too long or use it without much benefit.

Is her hyper worth picking her? What are some ways to make her work, and what deck suggestions do you guys have? I've been running I'm on Fire and Rainbow Colored Circle, but it just feels like using Kae's deck less effectively.

Her hyper now lowers everyone's EVD, so there's that.

Indeed.

If I end up playing her I mainly use chains to hunt down squishy characters late game like Aru or Suguri. They sure don't want to fight with their evade stat gimped. Plus getting another turn is a good way to catch up to your prey thanks to the -1 movement.

I personally prefer Hime over Sora because she's capable of widespread shenanigans that affects all players.

Hime's hyper's main use is it effectively lets you skip a turn for everyone else at key moments, this lets you hog beneficial single turn events for yourself, play it like a sprint to confirm a kill, or otherwise buy time.

hime is a member of the "himestatters" (mira, hime, and sumika) all of whom are fairly mediocre. hime is particularly pretty mid for a base game character and arguably one of the worst alongside qp (discounting the playable encounter enemy characters.) though thats still a pretty good thing to be since all the basegame characters are really solid
i wouldnt really play hime unless you really like her, and even if you do its probably better to grab hime-moonlight who is far more interesting and plays more like kae. the same things hime does can basically be accomplished better by Sham running Big Magnum. she's not *garbage,* but she's not very interesting, there arent very many good decks you can run on her, and she's not very good.

You know, I kinda agree with you.
Do you consider Mio (Festive) a base character?

yea i define basegame as anything you can get without paying any more money than what you paid for the game itself. so mio festive would fall under that. in terms of how good she is id say shes on the higher end but im biased because shes my favorite unit in the game

Should the RNG bless you, nabbing a string of of her hypers basically switches the game into singleplayer mode for a short time.

Thanks all, she sounds mid, but not bad, which is fine. I guess I'll just experiment more and try different decks for her.
She's okay

Being able to deny x2 rounds is nice and she does have genuine utility. She's average, but defo way more solid than many other average or below average units.
